Slopes and parks

Geilo offers fun and challenges for skiers and snowboarders on all levels and ages. Choose between 39 slopes, ranging from childrens' slopes to black slopes. A total of 35 km deliver great variation, even on a longer holiday. Geilo has 3 parks.  

Geilo - ideal for families

Geilo is one of the best ski destinations for children and families. There are 4 children areas with separate children's lifts and magic carpets. The ski instructors all speak at least one Scandinavian language and English. For the optimal ski experience, the children can improve their skiingby joining the social group tuition or the very effective private lessons. There are lessons for all ages and levels. Trollklubben child care  is a “ski in – ski out” childcare, situated in a cozy log cabin at Vestlia. Trollklubben offers childcare for children up to 8 years old.

Snow guarantee and location

Geilo is located in Hallingdal, in between Oslo and Bergen. Due to its location, Geilo has ski season from middle of November to the end of April.

Geilo has its own ski bus.The ski bus transports ski guests from their accommodation to the slopes. It runs from early morning through until the afternoon or lift closing. View the bus times here
